henryAn impressive defensive showing by last season’s runners-up resulted in a goalless Champions League draw at Camp Nou, with Barca left wanting…

Barcelona 0-0 Chelsea

The big news from Camp Nou was that Barcelona skipper Carles Puyol started on the bench, with Marquez at centre-back and Eric Abidal on the left. Visitors Chelsea, meanwhile, brought Alex back into their rearguard, with Didier Drogba ploughing a lone furrow up front. As expected, Jose Bosingwa was switched to the left with a view to thwarting Lionel Messi.

Barcelona and Chelsea just drew scoreless in the first-leg game at the Champions League semifinals held at Camp Nou; still, the Catalans deserved something more as the “Blues” took a defensive attitude throughout the match.

As usual, the locals looked for the victory from scratch, and they almost opened the score with a play from Eto’o; however, all the players were unaccurate in every goal chance they had.
